I wanted a name that was a part of the personal experience, I get asked frequently, where did you come up with the name Stone Rose? My inspiration behind the name is from a poem by Tupac Shakur “The Rose from the Concrete”. The poem describes how someone can become something great even if they grow from a place that is not recognized as great. In this poem Tupac uses a rose, something that is recognized as beautiful, even with its imperfections to symbolize life. It may seem impossible that a beautiful rose grew from the concrete, yet with hard work and dedication we can reach our goals in life, break through the hardship, and rise through the conflicts we face every day as if we are a rose growing from the concrete. My “WHY” factor increased immensely when my daughter Scarlett Rose was born. My brand reminds me everyday to always improve and always work at peak performance. Her initials, S.R. became the inspiration to “Stone Rose”, her life gives me hope that even through the toughest of times something beautiful can grow and flourish from what seems to be the impossible.
